Daly City, San Mateo County
About a third of the people in Daly City are of Filipino descent, one of the highest shares of any city in the mainland United States, and Filipino restaurants and bakeries are found throughout town. Summer fog from the Pacific is a near-daily visitor. The Cow Palace arena, open since 1941, has hosted rodeos, political conventions and the Beatles.
